Functional characteristics of busway
Modern high-rise buildings and large workshops require huge electric energy. In the face of such huge loads that require hundreds of thousands of amperes of strong current, it is necessary to choose safe and reliable conduction equipment, and the bus system is a good choice. The Busway System is a distribution device that can quickly transmit current, especially to meet the needs of increasingly tall buildings and large factories for economical and reasonable wiring.
Busway originated in Europe and the United States in the middle of the last century. It is a new type of conductor that uses copper or aluminum as a conductor, is covered with non-olefin insulating supports or insulating materials, and then placed in a metal trough. Today, it has become an indispensable wiring method for electrical equipment and power systems such as high-rise buildings and factories.

Busway has the characteristics of small size, large capacity, short design and construction cycle, convenient disassembly and assembly, non-combustible, safe and reliable, and long service life. Busway products are suitable for three-phase four-wire and three-phase five-wire power supply and distribution system projects with AC 50Hz-60Hz, rated voltage 1000V, and rated current 100A-6300A.
Low-voltage enclosed (referred to as busway) is a Busbar System composed of metal plates (steel plates or aluminum plates) as protective shells, insulating materials and related accessories. It can be made into a plug-in closed busbar with plug-in junction boxes at a certain distance, or it can be made into a feed-in closed busbar without a junction box in the middle. In the power supply system of high-rise buildings, power and lighting lines are often set separately, and the busway as the main power supply line is installed vertically along the wall in the electrical shaft once or multiple times. According to the purpose, the bus duct usually consists of a starting busway, a through busway (with and without jacks), an L-shaped vertical (horizontal) bent busway, a Z-shaped vertical (horizontal) offset busway, a T-shaped vertical (horizontal) three-way busway, an X-shaped vertical (horizontal) four-way busway, a variable capacity busway, an expansion busway, a terminal head, a terminal junction box, a plug-in box and a busbar. Busways can be divided into Air insulation busduct and Dense busduct according to the insulation method. According to its structure and purpose, it can be divided into Dense busduct, Air insulation busduct, Resin cast busbar and Fire resistant busway. According to the shell material, it can be divided into steel shell, aluminum alloy shell and steel-aluminum mixed shell busway.
Due to the demand for electricity in buildings, factories and other buildings, and this demand is increasing year by year, the use of the original circuit connection method, that is, the pipe method, has brought many difficulties to the construction, and it is almost impossible to make the distribution system simpler when replacing it. But if busway is used, it is easy to achieve the purpose and make the building more beautiful.

Economically speaking, busway is more expensive than cable, but considering the service life, value preservation function, power transmission and distribution efficiency, line protection and installation, especially in the case of large current capacity, busway has an advantage in price. With the emergence of modern engineering facilities and equipment, the power consumption of all walks of life is increasing rapidly, especially with the emergence of many high-rise buildings and large factories. Traditional cables as transmission conductors can no longer meet the requirements in high-current transmission systems, and the parallel use of multi-channel cables has brought many inconveniences to on-site installation and construction connections. Plug-in busway came into being as a new type of distribution conductor. Compared with traditional cables, it fully demonstrates its advantages in high-current transmission. At the same time, due to the use of new technologies and new processes, the contact resistance and temperature rise between the two ends of the busway and the branch port plug-in are greatly reduced. The busway uses high-quality insulating materials, which improves the safety and reliability of the busway and makes the entire system more perfect.
